Straight Talk TNT Book—Call for Submissions

TNT BOOK SUBMISSION

Straight Talk TNT is going to produce its first book! It will be a compilation of selected personal essays by young people ages 14-25. Writers will be paid a percentage of the profits once the book is published. If you are interested in being a paid and published writer, please submit essays to me by September 15, 2011. Length can be anywhere from 600 to 5000 words.

TOPICS: I am interested in three types of personal essays:
1) accounts of living with and/or overcoming any kind of personal crisis or challenge: some examples: addiction, body image, health, relationships, sexuality, love, family, death, cutting, eating disorders, etc.
2) rants about society, popular trends, war, politics, pornography, the environment, etc.
3) someone or something that touched you and taught you something.
4) There may be limited space for poetry on any of the above.

RULES: At the top of each essay, include full legal name, pen name, (if desired), (but I still need legal name, too), date of birth, phone number and email address. No more than five submissions per person. Each submission must be sent under separate email. Must be between ages 14 and 25 at time of submission. Essay length 600-5000 words, less for poetry. Submission deadline: September 15, 2011.

PS: Straight Talk TNT is in the process of becoming a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation. Remaining profits from this book will go into the TNT coffers to fund further projects for young people.

    I want to submit my essay, but I’m not sure how. Can i just email it to your email, beause there is no attachment tab on the contact section…am I supposd to copy and paste it to the “your comment.’” section?
